Adriana Terumi Itako

Professor Itako holds an undergraduate degree in Agriculture from the Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM) in 2006, and she earned her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Plant Protection from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) in 2008 and 2011 respectively. Since 2012, she has been a professor at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina – Curitibanos Campus, where she teaches courses in Plant Pathology and Integrated Pest and Disease Management for the Agriculture and Forest Engineering programs. She conducts research and outreach work, with a focus on strategies for the management and alternative control of plant diseases. She is also a member of the Conservation Agriculture research group and is involved in the following research areas: integrated pest and disease management, soil-plant-atmosphere relationships, and conservation management of natural resources.
