Cesar Augusto Marchioro
Professor Marchioro completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná and holds a master’s and a doctoral degree in Zoology from the Universidade Federal do Paraná. His research focuses on various aspects of agricultural entomology, including biology, ecology, biological control and integrated pest management. He also specializes in ecological modeling, investigating topics such as biological invasion and the impacts of climate change on species distribution. Moreover, he has experience in environmental sanitation, specifically in water quality and monitoring of insect vectors and venomous animals. Currently, he serves as a professor at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), where he teaches “General Zoology” for the Agriculture and Forest Engineering programs. Additionally, he actively participates in the “Ecosystem Ecology” and “Conservation Agriculture” research groups at UFSC.
