Djalma Eugenio Schmitt

Professor Schmitt holds an undergraduate degree in Agricultre from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2009), a master’s degree in Agroecosystems from the same university (2012), and a doctoral degree in Soil Science from the Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (2016). Additionally, he completed a postdoctoral research at the Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (2016-2017). Currently, he serves as a professor at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina – Curitibanos Campus, where he teaches “Soil Physical and Chemical Properties” and “Watershed Management”. His expertise lies in the field of Agriculture, with a particular focus on soil fertility and soil chemistry. He primarily conducts research in the following areas: phosphorus dynamics in areas with the application of fertilizers and animal waste, trace elements in fruit trees, and fertilizer management in areas with the application of soluble fertilizers and animal waste.
