Professor Fermino Junior holds an undergraduate degree (including a teaching degree) in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, which he completed in 2002. He went on to earn a master’s degree in Plant Biology from the same institution in 2004. Additionally, he obtained a doctoral degree in Biotechnology, specializing in the Agroforestry field, from the Universidade Federal do Amazonas in 2009. To further enhance his academic journey, he completed a postdoctoral research in the Graduate Program in Plant Genetic Resources at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in 2013. Currently, he serves as a professor at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, based on the Curitibanos Campus. He also holds the role of a professor within the Graduate Program in Agricultural and Natural Ecosystems (PPGEAN/UFSC). His expertise lies in the field of Botany, with a primary focus on areas such as plant tissue culture and plant anatomy.
