Vinicius Costa Cysneiros
Professor Cysneiros holds a Bachelor’s degree in Forest Engineering from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), and a Master’s and Ph.D in Forest Engineering from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). Cysneiros has experience in Forest Resources, with an emphasis on Forest Mensuration and Management, focusing primarily on the following topics: sampling, biometrics, statistical modeling, ecology and management of tree species, carbon sequestration in forest biomass, and multiple uses of forest resources. Currently he serves as Assistant Professor of the undergraduate Forest Engineering program at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC – Curitibanos Campus). He also is supervisor of the Forest Experimental Area (AEF – UFSC), and coordinator of the Study Group on Dendrometry, Forest Inventory, and Management (NeDIM – UFSC).
