Syllabus: Soil as a component of agricultural and natural ecosystems. Soil formation, its distribution in the landscape, and the main classes and distribution on the surface of the planet. Attributes and dynamic processes of the soil in agricultural and natural ecosystems. The pedosphere as an interface among biosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere. Suitability of land use. Soil and its relationship with climate change, water availability, soil degradation, and current topics.
